Monadelphous has been awarded a $240m contract by BHP, with activities focused around shutdowns, outages and minor capital works.

Monadelphous’ contract will cover three years of work across five BHP iron ore projects in the Pilbara, including Mount Whaleback, Mining Area C, Jimblebar, Eastern Ridge, and Yandi, where BHP has the option to extend the contract by up to 2 years.

The BHP contract is one of many awarded to Monadelphous over the years, highlighting the strong working relationship between the mining-giant and Perth-based Monadelphous.

New call-to-action

“The award of this contract is testament to our reputation for delivering customer-focused engineering solutions and maintaining a high standard of safety and quality,” said Rob Velletri, MD at Monadelphous.

"We look forward to further developing our relationship with BHP over coming years, growing our operational footprint in the Pilbara and continuing to strengthen our long-term commitment to the region and the communities in which we operate."

Monadelphous recently, back in February, undertook work at BHP’s Mining Area C, where they conducted upgrades on a water treatment plant.

Monadelphous is an engineering group focusing on construction, maintenance and industrial services to the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors.
