Projected Jobs For Bruce Highway: Caboolture - Bribie Island Road to Steve Irwin Way: Up to 700 jobs

The Bruce Highway is a pivotal north-south connection between Cairns and Brisbane along the east coast of Queensland and represents a segment of the National Land Transport Network. A highly utilised area of the Highway, by both weekday commuters and weekend tourist traffic, the 11 km area of the Bruce Highway between the Steve Irwin Way and Caboolture Bribie Island Road experiences significant congestion. Weekend peak hour, in particular, sees considerable delays and unreliable journey times for drivers.

Coupled with high traffic accident rates and susceptibility to flooding, the issues project to only worsen as the population in the surrounding area and subsequent demands on the Highway increase.
