South Creek integrated land use and water cycle management Construction Details

The end goal of the initiative is to improve the environmental quality and liveability of the South Creek Catchment by ensuring development maximises water cycle planning and use of the land. This will include the following elements:

  • funding of altered or new water infrastructure
  • blue infrastructure (waterways and the requisite supporting infrastructure)
  • green infrastructure (elements that leverage natural vegetation)
  • innovative water cycle management methods

As part of the project, various water recycling methods and usage types of indirect potable (eg. replenishing groundwater systems) and non-potable (eg. industrial and irrigation purposes) are being explored by the NSW government.
